Blue jays! the bird with imposter color feathers! 💙🤎

Hey there guys! Its Cataleya here and today we are going to learn about a bird that is full of vibrance and blue feathers!

Here are 5 facts:

1.      They don’t have blue feathers! They actually have brownish feathers, they look blue because of the way light reflects of them! I wonder if River has blue feathers?💙🚫  🤎✅

2.      They are cute but they like to imitate red tailed hawks to scare off other birds from feeders.👻

3.      They like to rub ants on their feathers, its called anting. Think of it like parasite repellent.🪲🚫

4.      While common in backyard bird feeders, they are actually quite intelligent and have been observed using materials like newspaper as tools to get food, it’s a news team! 😯

5.      They can bury thousands of acorns!

Blue jays are so cool and smart! To be honest they are rarer than you might think. I almost never see them. Next time you see a flash of blue in your yard, keep your eyes peeled, it could be a clever Blue Jay showing off!
