The Red-Tailed Hawk (AKA My Backyard Neighbor) 🪶

Hey there guys! It’s Cataleya here, and today we are going to learn about a bird that is a cool predator and I seem to see them all the time! The Red-Tailed Hawk!

Here are 5 facts:

1. You ever heard the sound an eagle makes in movies? That’s not an eagle! That’s a Red-Tailed Hawk! They thought a real eagle didn’t sound fierce enough.

   
   

2. It’s rare to see one in your backyard! If your yard is big, the chances are higher. My backyard is big, and there’s a hawk that lives next to us like a neighbor!

   
   

3. The oldest known hawk was 30 years and 8 months old! (River can still live longer tho 😂)

   
   

4. It’s one of the largest birds you will find in North America.

   
   

5. They have really good sight

   like most predators!

   
   

I like these birds! There’s one that lives in a tree in our backyard! He hunts lizards, and I saw him like an hour ago! Also, I like how all predator birds look angry 😂
