Hey there guys! It’s Cataleya here, and today we’re going to learn about a bird that is bright red and has a really cool crest, the Northern Cardinal! 🐦❤️

Here are 5 facts:

  1. Unlike most songbirds, female Northern Cardinals can sing too! 🎶

  2. Male cardinals get their bright red color from the food they eat.

  3. Unlike many birds, they don’t migrate, so you can see them all year long!

  4. They can be pretty aggressive and very territorial, so maybe don’t get too close. They may even spend hours attacking their own reflection!

  5. Their crest (the little feather “hat” on their head) moves depending on how they’re feeling!

💬 My Message about them:

I think Northern Cardinals are so cute and cool! I once saw a male hopping around a female, and it was really fun to watch. There was also a finch nearby just watching them like: “🤨” 😂

Also it looks like they have a beard.
