The Fluffy Red Bird of Britain! | Bullfinch

Hey there, guys! It’s Cataleya here, and today we are going to learn about a bird that is red and is from Great Britain! The Bullfinch! 🐦❤️

Here are 5 facts:

1. They are shy and easily spooked.

Bullfinches can be pretty secretive and may quickly fly away when they feel threatened.

2. Their call can sound like “PEW PEW”!

Okay, maybe not exactly “PEW PEW,” but that’s what I hear! 😂 (I taught River to say it lol.)

3. Male bullfinches are much more colorful than females.

Male bullfinches have a beautiful pinkish-red chest and cheeks, while females have more brownish coloring.

4. They live in Europe and parts of Asia.

Bullfinches can be found in Great Britain, across parts of Europe, and into Asia. There are also several closely related bullfinch species found in other parts of Asia.

5. They eat seeds, but babies need more than seeds!

Adult bullfinches mainly eat seeds, buds, and other plant material. When feeding their chicks, they also provide them with small invertebrates and other protein-rich food.

They look so fluffy and tiny! They kinda look like robins, but with more color. ❤️🐦
