Parrot Mountain: A Park FULL of Parrots!

Hey there, guys! It's Cataleya here, and today the article isn't about a bird… IT'S ABOUT A PARK CALLED PARROT MOUNTAIN! 🦜🌴

It's a place high up on a mountain in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee!

🏔️ What Is Parrot Mountain?

Parrot Mountain is a place in Pigeon Forge that you drive up a mountain to get to. Eventually, you'll find a sign that says "PARROT MOUNTAIN" with pictures of birds on it!

When you get to the parking lot, you'll start by seeing some macaws sitting on perches and squawking! And even though the park is pretty expensive, you go inside and get to see MORE parrots sitting on perches!

I'm not going to spoil everything that's inside, but there are also areas where you can feed and hold the birdies! 😍🦜

🪶 The Parrots Have NAMES?!

Yep! All the parrots have names, too!

There was an Alexandrine parrot named SPIKE who likes to make cute little "Auoh?" noises and lick people's faces! 😭💚

I met him when I visited Parrot Mountain for my 12th birthday!

IMPORTANT: If you want to meet Spike, ask a staff member which one he is, because there's another Alexandrine parrot next to him who looks JUST LIKE HIM! 😂 Plus theres other birds, not just Spike!

😧 A 35-YEAR-OLD RINGNECK?!

Okay, THIS surprised me!

There's a yellow Indian Ringneck at Parrot Mountain who's 35 YEARS OLD! 😱💛

Indian Ringnecks can sometimes live for around 30 years or even longer with good care, so this bird is a pretty impressive senior citizen!

And River? 👀

Looks like we found a bird who might outlive River's expected lifespan! 😂💙

🐦 Would I Recommend Parrot Mountain?

If you love parrots, Parrot Mountain sounds like an exciting place to visit! You can see lots of different parrots, meet some of them up close, and even feed or hold birds in designated areas.

Keep in mind the birds dont like to be petted and some of the birds like Macaws will bite so.... maybe just dont pet them? 😅

Just remember that admission can be expensive, so it's worth checking the prices before

you visit!

And who knows? Maybe you'll meet a bird who steals your heart… just like Spike stole

mine! 💚🦜
